Jean-Marc Lulin, Ph.D., geologist, based in Montreal
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Lulin is a senior mining executive with 26 years of experience in North America, Africa and Europe. Since June 2003, as President, CEO and Director of Azimut Exploration, he reactivated the company and implemented a new business strategy. The mineral potential targeting methodology designed by Mr. Lulin constitutes the cornerstone of Azimut's activity. Prior engagements include President, COO and Director of Channel Resources (1996-2001), Vice President West Africa of Channel Resources (1995-1996), Chief Geologist at SOQUEM (1992-1995) and at the Vior-Mazarin Group (1986-1992) and Geologist at the BRGM (1981-1984).
He was involved in the discoveries of the Bombore, Bouroum and Goulagou gold deposits in Burkina Faso (resources of 2.5 million ounces) with Channel Resources; of the Douay gold deposit and Lac Knife flake graphite deposit in Quebec with Vior-Mazarin; and of Meponda, a large niobium-tantalum-uranium-rare earth occurrence in Mozambique with BRGM.
Mr. Lulin was instrumental in strengthening the initial wave of exploration in Burkina Faso during the 1990's. He is a Director of Channel Resources. Mr. Lulin holds a Doctorate in Economic Geology from Université d'Orléans (1984), a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Mineral and Energy Resources (1981), a Master's degree in Applied Geology (1980) and a Licence in Earth Sciences (1979) from the Université de Paris VI, France.
Normand Champigny, P.Eng., M.A.Sc., based in Montreal

Mr. Champigny has 25 years of experience in the mining industry and was appointed Executive Vice President of Azimut Exploration in April 2006. Prior engagements include Associate Partner with IBM Business Consulting Services as Americas mining industry leader (2002-2006) where he was responsible for the identification of client service opportunities, the management of business relationships and the delivery of services with mining sector clients; Principal Consultant for the Mining Industry Group with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (2000-2002); Director of the Latin American Centre of Excellence in Mining with Coopers & Lybrand and Arthur Andersen (1995-2000); Manager Mining Practice with Coopers & Lybrand (1988-1994); Research Engineer at the Centre of Geostatistics of the école des Mines de Paris (1986-1988); and Senior Engineer with International Geosystems Corporation (1981-1986).
Mr. Champigny has a Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering from école Polytechnique in Montreal (1979). He obtained a Master's degree in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia (1981) and a Specialized Diploma in Geostatistics from the école des Mines de Paris (1987).
He is a Director of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Sylvain Guérard, B.Sc., based in Montreal
Vice President Exploration
Mr. Guérard is a senior exploration professional with more than 17 years experience, mostly with major mining companies. From 1999 to March 2007, he was Exploration Manager (Peru, Dominican Republic) and Senior Geologist and Exploration Manager (Tanzania) for Barrick Gold Corporation.
Previous assignments include Senior Geologist with Channel Resources in West Africa (1996 to 1999) and Project Geologist with Inmet Mining Corporation in Eastern Canada (1987 to 1996). Mr. Guérard's expertise ranges from generative to advanced stage exploration for a wide variety of deposit types.
While working with Barrick, Mr. Guérard was responsible for exploration on properties that host giant gold deposits, including the Bulyanhulu Mine in Tanzania, the Alto Chicama Mine in Peru, and the advanced stage Pueblo Viejo gold project in the Dominican Republic. Mr. Guérard has participated in technical and economic exploration successes in Canada, Burkina Faso, Tanzania and the Dominican Republic. Mr. Guérard holds a B.Sc. degree in geology from the Université de Montréal (1990).
Moniroth Lim, CGA, based in Montreal
Secretary Treasurer
Moniroth Lim is a highly experienced financial and auditing professional with 20 years of experience. Since April 2006, she is Secretary Treasurer of Azimut Exploration. Her area of expertise includes the preparation of statutory reports for publicly traded mining companies, conventional and flow-through share financing, management of financial audits, and review of internal controls. From 1986 to 2006, she worked as a supervisor and financial auditor for the accounting and business advisory services of Montreal-based Bratt Fremeth Star.
Mrs. Lim graduated in Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal (1987) specializing in accounting sciences. She is a member of the Ordre des comptables généraux accrédités du Québec.
