About Everton Resources Inc.
Azimut Exploration is pleased to be partners with Everton Resources Inc ("Everton"). Everton is a Canadian-based junior exploration company trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX : EVR), with properties in the Dominican Republic, Quebec and Ontario. In Quebec, Everton is focusing on the Opinaca region, where its landholdings include a 50% interest in Azimut's Opinaca A and B properties near Goldcorp’s Eleonore gold deposit.
Azimut-Everton partnerships
In December 2004, Everton signed an option agreement with Azimut to earn up to 65% interest on the Opinaca A and B gold properties by spending $4.8 million in exploration work and making cash payments totalling $340,000 over 5 years. Everton published a NI 43-101 Technical Report for the project in 2008.
In April 2010, Azimut confirmed that Everton had earned its 50% interest in the Opinaca A and B properties.
In September 2010,
Azimut and Everton announced the signing of an agreement with Aurizon whereby
Aurizon can acquire up to a 60% undivided ownership interest in the Opinaca
property. Aurizon will be the operator during the earn-in period for the initial
50% interest in the project, after which a joint venture will be formed. The
resulting interest for Azimut and Everton will be 25% each.
