Nunavik
VERNOT LAKE
The Vernot Lake property is one of Azimut’s 100% owned uranium properties in west and central Nunavik, northern Quebec. It comprises 140 claims for a total surface area of 64.3 km2.
The property was identified during Azimut’s regional-scale uranium potential modelling over most of Quebec and Labrador. It was defined mainly by lake-bottom sediment anomalies and corroborated by existing geophysical and geological data. The Nunavik region has seen little uranium exploration in the past, but there are strong indications it has significant potential for this commodity.
